Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Lee (ranked 4645 p4p, 0 weight class) and El Matador (ranked 16460 p4p, 0 weight class). El Matador is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bobby Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, El Matador!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee stuffs the takedown.
Lee scoring well with a low kick there.
Matador fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lee throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A chopping leg kick lands by Lee.
El Matador seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Matador looks to clinch
and Lee counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Matador lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lee has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lee and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Matador fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lee appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Matador throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A slapping leg kick lands for Lee.
Matador tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lee swivels and escapes.
Bobby Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of El Matador.

Matador moves into the clinch successfully.
Matador is pushing Lee up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Matador is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lee gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Lee breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Matador throws a sloppy head kick and Lee moves out of range easily.

Lee gets a takedown into half guard.
Lee slows the pace down in half guard.

Matador is looking for a sweep. Lee is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Lee knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Matador on the ground.

Lee postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Matador to stand up.
Matador fails with an attempt to clinch.

Lee scores with the left hand. Matador knows he should have avoided that one.
Lee lands with a thumping leg kick.
Matador wants to clinch up but Lee keeps it at a distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Lee changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Matador fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Lee shoots for a double leg takedown but Matador sprawls well. He's pushed Lee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Matador throws a leg kick
and Lee counters with a series of strikes. Matador will be more careful next time no doubt.
Lee displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Matador.

Matador dives in and scores a takedown into Lee's guard.

Matador makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Matador is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lee wants to hit a sweep here but Matador passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Lee there!
Matador manages to capitalize on a mistake by Lee to take his back!

Matador is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Lee defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Matador working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Bobby Lee will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Matador takes the fight into the clinch.
Matador has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lee avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Lee has Matador pressed against the cage.
Matador is trying to force a seperation but Lee has the dominant position.
Matador is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lee to keep the fight standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Matador jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lee walks away with a smile on his face. Matador gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Lee will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Matador dives in for a single leg takedown but Lee sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Lee is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Left hook, right uppercut from Lee.
Matador has a takedown stuffed.
Lee fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lee shoots in for a double leg but Matador sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Matador tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lee sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Matador somewhat.

Lee shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Matador pinned against the cage. Matador gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A countering left hand to the body from Matador misses.
Matador pivots, looking for a leg kick but Lee is out of range and Matador settles back down.
Lee scores with a shot to the body.

Lee clinches with his opponent.
Lee has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Matador is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Matador jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lee walks away with a smile on his face. Matador gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

It looked like Lee was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Matador pushes Lee up against the cage in a clinch.
Lee jumps guard but Matador turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Lee has Matador pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Matador manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Lee breaks the clinch.
Matador shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lee defends it nicely.
Lee is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Matador can do to turn this around?
Matador tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Nice defenses there by Lee.
Matador thows a leg kick but Lee checks it
and Lee counters with a straight right hand.

Matador moves into the clinch successfully.
Lee drops down looking for an ankle pick but Matador pulls his leg out and moves away.
Matador shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Matador takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Matador shoots for a takedown but Lee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lee was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Matador is breathing heavily.
Matador has a takedown stuffed.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lee is defended easily by Matador.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bobby Lee dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Matador tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Good exchange - Lee coming out on top.

and Lee counters with a nice low kick that buckles Matador's knee momentarily.
Matador shoots in for a double leg but Lee sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

As Lee backs off Matador throws a huge counter combo but Lee manages to avoid it all.

Lee circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lee fails to land the takedown.
Matador doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lee cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Lee tries to close the distance and clinch up but Matador swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lee stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lee wants it to stay on the feet.
Lee cracks Matador with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Lee keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Matador takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Lee tried to counter with a leg kick but Matador avoided it.

Lee drops down looking for an ankle pick but Matador pulls his leg out and moves away.

A solid leg kick lands there for Lee.
Matador shoots for a takedown but Lee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Lee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lee moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Matador pulls guard successfully.
Lee seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Matador has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lee can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Lee controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Matador is looking for a triangle but Lee pushes his legs off easily.
Lee trying to control the position from guard on top but Matador is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Lee stands up from Matador's guard - Lee perhaps looking for a knockout.
El Matador has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bobby Lee is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Lee explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bobby Lee showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lee, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In his post fight interview, Bobby Lee started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
