Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Isaac Mendez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Niall Dunne!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Columbo Gatti and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mendez darts in and clinches Dunne up against the cage.
Dunne avoids the elbow strike from Mendez, against the cage.
Dunne is trying to push Mendez away but Mendez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Dunne gets underhooks to prevent Mendez's takedown attempt.
Mendez misses with a punch on the inside.
Dunne tries to break the clinch but Mendez is controlling the position.
Dunne avoids the elbow strike from Mendez, against the cage.
Mendez tries for a takedown. No joy.
Mendez misses with some punches.
Dunne misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Dunne lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Dunne is trying to force a seperation but Mendez has the dominant position.
Dunne tries to break free but Mendez pushes him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dunne lands a body shot.

Mendez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dunne ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Mendez is breathing heavily.
Dunne connects with the punch.
Dunne punishes Mendez's body with a nice straight punch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dunne takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Mendez closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Dunne throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mendez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Dunne cracks Mendez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Mendez gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Dunne.
Mendez takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.


Mendez is rocked!
Dunne scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Oh Mendez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Dunne cracks Mendez with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Mendez looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Dunne finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dunne scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Dunne fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Mendez to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Mendez looks to clinch but Dunne throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Mendez taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Niall Dunne!
