Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zhang Wu (ranked 2599 p4p, 339 weight class) and Gilberto Silva (ranked 3829 p4p, 480 weight class). Wu comes to the cage accompanied by Modest Mouse - The Ground Walks, with Time in a Box. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Zhang Wu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gilberto Silva!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wu.
Wu misses with a straight right.
Silva moves away from the strike by Wu.
A little jabbing left from Silva on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Wu misses the shot to the body.
Wu stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Silva has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Silva lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Zhang Wu has been cut.
Wu lands a jab to Silva's midsection.
Wu throws a poor cross that misses
letting Silva counter with a right hand.
A combination from Wu does no damage.
Silva throws a hook to the side of Wu's head but Wu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Wu fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Silva is out of range.
Silva swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Silva lands a right hook to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wu cracks Silva with a right hand to the side of the head.

Wu swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Silva ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wu moves away.
Wu half committed to a counter leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A looping hook to the body misses from Wu. Silva does a little dance to reset his feet.
Wu throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.
Zhang Wu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wu thumps Silva with a low kick.
Wu just misses with a punch to the body.
Wu looks to land a right hand but Silva moved out of range.
Wu uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Silva has time to react.
Silva throws a poor cross that misses
and Wu counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Silva misses with a lunging right hand
and Wu counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Wu connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Silva momentarily.
Silva staying out of range there.
Silva looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Wu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Silva moves away.
Silva ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Silva looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Silva lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Silva fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Wu is out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Silva scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Silva misses with a hook. Wu ducked under it nicely.
Silva misses with an uppercut
and Wu counters with a nice uppercut.
Silva dodges the punch combination from Wu.
Silva misses with a few strikes there.
Silva throws a right hand that misses
and Wu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Wu scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
A swing and a miss from Wu.
Wu lands an overhand right.

Silva is rocked!
Silva gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Wu points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Silva wakes up just in time to hear Wu thank his coaches in the post fight interview.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Zhang Wu!
