Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Douche Canoe (ranked 2622 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Pfeifer (ranked 2378 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douche Canoe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ricardo Pfeifer!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Canoe circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pfeifer tries to bum rush Canoe with a series of wild strikes but Canoe uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pfeifer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Pfeifer slips a jab and a cross from Canoe.

enabling Canoe to counter with a crisp jab.
A low kick from Pfeifer is predictable there

and Canoe counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Pfeifer wants to get back to his feet but Canoe is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Canoe has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Canoe throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pfeifer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Canoe trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Canoe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Canoe seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Canoe trying to control the position from guard on top but Pfeifer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pfeifer working a defensive guard but Canoe manages to pass into side control anyway.
Pfeifer is trying to buck Canoe off.
Canoe remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Canoe works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Pfeifer struggling a bit here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pfeifer takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.


Pfeifer is rocked!

Canoe working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Pfeifer is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Canoe wants to control but Pfeifer is keeping him busy.

Canoe cracks Pfeifer with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Canoe immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Pfeifer is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Canoe!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Douche Canoe!
Douche Canoe seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
