Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Ryan (ranked 6686 p4p, 564 weight class) and Tommy Corona (ranked 7635 p4p, 600 weight class). Ryan comes to the cage accompanied by Rockstar. Tommy Corona is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Ryan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy Corona! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Corona shoots in but Ryan avoids the takedown attempt easily. Ryan circles away from the clinch attempt and Ryan counters with a left to the body. Corona fails with a takedown attempt. Ryan connects with a crisp jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ryan looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corona takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Corona follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land. Ryan misses with a straight left. Ryan plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Ryan throws a head kick that Corona semi-blocks.
Nice takedown defense from Ryan. No joy for Corona on that attempt. Jack Ryan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Corona. Ryan keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Corona fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Corona shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ryan as he avoids it easily. Ryan goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Corona misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ryan swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Corona tries to clinch and Ryan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ryan looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Ryan keeps the fight on the outside. Ryan went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Ryan punishes Corona's body with a nice straight punch. Ryan lands a jab to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action! Corona with a poor takedown and Ryan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Corona bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Ryan tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Ryan tries to buck Corona off so he can stand up but Corona has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Ryan falls backwards, slamming Corona to the mat but Corona holds on tight! Ryan is forced to tap and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Tommy Corona!
