Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marvin Watts (ranked 3195 p4p, 378 weight class) and Mathew Hallaway (ranked 4315 p4p, 458 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Our sources have told us that Watts has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.

Watts throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Hallaway counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Watts feints a jab promting Hallaway to slip. Watts then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hallaway slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

and Hallaway connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Watts closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Oh Watts is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Watts walks straight into a right hand from Hallaway - that's dropped him! Hallaway jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Watts from any more punishment! Watts complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Mathew Hallaway tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
