Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marvelous Berkeley (ranked 3374 p4p, 343 weight class) and Charles Farias (ranked 1835 p4p, 206 weight class). Farias comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Notorious B.I.G - Juicy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berkeley misses with a combination
and Farias makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Berkeley throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Farias cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Berkeley tries to bum rush Farias with a series of wild strikes but Farias uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Farias lands a right hand that snaps the head of Berkeley backwards.

Farias has Berkeley pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Berkeley is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Farias - that's hurt Berkeley badly! Oh, another knee lands and Berkeley is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Berkeley doesn't seem to be complaining.
