PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dexter King (ranked 4582 p4p, 438 weight class) and Warner AZ (ranked 3180 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think King might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Its Time to TAP. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
AZ fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
AZ plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

It looks like Dexter King has been cut.
AZ is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

King gets tackled into the cage by AZ. AZ maintains the clinch.
King tries for a takedown. No joy.
AZ creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through King's defenses.
AZ gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from King.
King drops down looking for an ankle pick but AZ pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dexter King. That's going to take a lot out of him.
King shoots in and drives through. AZ sprawls well.
AZ is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

AZ fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with King, pushing him back against the cage.
AZ changes levels and goes for a takedown here. King fights it off and pushes away nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King shoots in looking for a takedown. AZ tries to sprawl out of it but King keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. AZ manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
King defends well against a solid takedown attempt from AZ.

Warner AZ seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
AZ moves in looking to clinch but King pushes him off.
Nice takedown defense from King. No joy for AZ on that attempt.

AZ throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

King keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
AZ shoots for a double leg takedown but King sprawls well. He's pushed AZ's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

AZ gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
King stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. AZ swivels though and keeps the full guard.
King would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

King has his feet on AZ's thighs here. He's pushed AZ off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! AZ screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
