Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Wayne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wayne might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Last of my kind. On his way into the cage it seems that Christopher Wayne has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Christopher Wayne seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jacobs lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Wayne has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Wayne and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Jacobs lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Wayne lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Jacobs chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jacobs feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Wayne's calf.
Wayne is breathing heavily.
Jacobs lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Jacobs dodges the punch combination from Wayne.

Jacobs lands a nice leg kick that just misses Wayne's sensitive parts.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jacobs, right into the meat.
Whack! Jacobs lands a heavy head kick that drops Wayne. The ref tackles Jacobs to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Wayne was done.

No luck for McCuddler with that takedown attempt.
McCuddler will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Alejandro on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Alejandro tries to get out of the position.

Alejandro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McCuddler doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McCuddler manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Alejandro has his feet on McCuddler's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Alejandro shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McCuddler pinned against the cage. McCuddler gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Alejandro counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Francisco Alejandro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Huggie McCuddler.
Alejandro has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of McCuddler is proving hard to escape from.

McCuddler is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Alejandro defends well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McCuddler looking for a triangle here. Alejandro is fighting it but it looks tight! McCuddler pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Alejandro is tapping out - this one is all over!

Rune looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Rune persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing.
The fight stays on the outside here - Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bad Boy Rune seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rune shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Horrible takedown by Rune or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.
Wanderlei Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bad Boy Rune.

Rune shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Silva napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Silva pushes Rune away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rune gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Rune has hold of Silva's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Silva seems comfortable defending it but Rune has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Silva is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Silva is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Rune couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Soldo tries to bum rush Zalac with a series of wild strikes but Zalac uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Zalac looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Some wild striking there from Soldo.
Zalac tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Soldo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A combination from Soldo does no damage.
Soldo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Soldo scores with a one two! Zalac had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

It looks like Alen Zalac has been cut.

Soldo looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Soldo is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Soldo wants to control from the top but Zalac keeps moving.

DeNomee throws a series of punches but Subz moves out of range.
Subz stuffs the takedown.
Subz works DeNomee's body with a nice hook.
DeNomee shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Subz defends it nicely.
A telegraphed right hand from DeNomee misses the target.

Subz looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
DeNomee avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Subz.

Subz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks DeNomee with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
