Fredericks displaying some good clinch control by pressing Kilmartin up against the ropes. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kilmartin takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fredericks is trying to stall.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Kilmartin stalls. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Fredericks is looking to control Kilmartin's arms but Kilmartin gets an underhook and turns him. Now Fredericks has his back to the ropes.

Kilmartin stalling in the clinch but Fredericks improves position. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Fredericks trying to control the position but instead, Kilmartin has worked for underhooks and has pushed Fredericks into the ropes. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Eddy Fredericks.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
OShaunessy tries to keep at a distance but McCann has taken the fight into the clinch. OShaunessy stalling against the ropes.

Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Jemez takes a shot right to the bread basket. A telegraphed right hand from Jemez misses the target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jemez on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Herring with a body punch. A glancing blow.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Herring takes a swing at Jemez's ribcage but misses. Herring avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Herring swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Jemez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Herring manages to avoid it. Jemez misses with a body shot.
Herring let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. A big left from Jemez misses. Jemez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Herring.
Herring fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jemez manages to avoid it. An attempted straight right counter from Jemez misses the target. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jemez digs a good hook to Herring's body.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Giorgio Jemez.
