Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tapad Amiga (ranked 23496 p4p, 23472 weight class) and Helen Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 48 - 92 - 9, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tapad Amiga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 60 - 80 - 11, fighting out of Las Vegas, Helen Salvacion! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Amiga defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Salvacion. Amiga thinks about countering with a body kick.
Amiga closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Salvacion to the mat! Salvacion manages to get full guard. Salvacion being controlled here, momentarily. Salvacion pulls Amiga in close to his closed guard and prevents Amiga from doing any damage or advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amiga is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Salvacion is pulling down on Amiga's head to control his posture.
Salvacion has his foot on Amiga's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Amiga works his way back into a safe position though. Amiga showing good wrestling skills to control the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Salvacion is controlling Amiga's posture.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Amiga enables Salvacion to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Amiga manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Amiga throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga pulls Salvacion in close to prevent any damage. Salvacion preventing the sweep. Amiga seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Amiga is trying hard to land a takedown here. Salvacion sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Amiga shoots in and bounces Salvacion off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Salvacion is pulling down on Amiga's head. It's preventing any offense from Amiga, at least for the moment.
 That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amiga content to stall in guard here. Salvacion controlling Amiga's posture. Let's hope that Salvacion has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Amiga controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Salvacion has his hands on Amiga's head, controlling the position.
 The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Amiga will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Salvacion thinks about the counter body kick. Amiga shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga is trying hard to land a takedown here. Salvacion sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tapad Amiga. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Salvacion is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Amiga's half guard. Amiga is trying to escape back to his feet but Salvacion uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Amiga is trying to control Salvacion's posture but Salvacion avoids it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Salvacion is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salvacion is continuing to stall. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Helen Salvacion will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Salvacion is looking to land body kicks. Amiga fires out a quick counter leg kick but Salvacion just manages to avoid it.
Amiga shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Salvacion napping and manages to drive through into side control! Salvacion struggling a bit here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Salvacion manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
 That's one minute gone in the round. Amiga wants to control but Salvacion is keeping busy and won't allow it. Salvacion controlling the action here. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Amiga is looking to control Salvacion's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Amiga avoid being mounted? Salvacion trying to control the pace.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Amiga is trying to control but Salvacion passes into side control!
Amiga sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Salvacion takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Amiga keeping hold of Salvacion's head, controlling as best he can. Amiga wants to control but Salvacion passes into side.

 The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

He's pushed Salvacion's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Salvacion tries for a takedown but Amiga sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Tapad Amiga has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Helen Salvacion is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Salvacion dives in for a single leg takedown but Amiga sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Amiga quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Tapad Amiga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Helen Salvacion. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A head kick by Amiga misses and Salvacion counters with a nice kick to the body.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tapad Amiga. Well Salvacion has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
