Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 62 - 84 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard John Salvacion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pablo Blades!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blades lands a jab-cross combination.
Blades lands a jab.
Blades scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Salvacion shoots in looking for a takedown. Blades tries to sprawl out of it but Salvacion keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Blades manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That kick from Blades tenderised Salvacion's leg. Salvacion is trying to keep his angry face on.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Blades.
Blades goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Blades lands a slapping body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Salvacion closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Salvacion looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Salvacion fails with a takedown attempt.
Blades looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Blades lands with an overhand left.
Salvacion takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Blades lands a brutal head kick. Salvacion looks out on his feet and Blades throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Pablo Blades!
A very excited looking Pablo Blades rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
