Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thiago De Lima! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ashi Baray! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baray shoots in for a double leg but De Lima sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. De Lima went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Thiago De Lima seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. De Lima lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. De Lima tests Baray's chin there with a solid looking shot. A head kick misses from De Lima. De Lima bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Baray's head. A jab lands there for De Lima.
Baray has De Lima up against the cage in a clinch.
De Lima using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Baray has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
De Lima's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. De Lima dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
De Lima has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head and Baray goes down! De Lima dives on top of him - Baray manages to get guard.
Baray is rocked!
It looks like Ashi Baray has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. De Lima throws a big right hand that misses.
 That's one minute gone in the round. De Lima slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Baray trying to control the position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Baray can do anything to dispel that myth. Baray working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from De Lima. De Lima controlling from the top position. De Lima wants to control from the top but Baray keeps moving. Baray really doesn't want to stay on the ground with De Lima. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. De Lima working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Baray trying to control the position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
 The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Baray tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. De Lima manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. De Lima is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Baray looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Baray takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Baray doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. De Lima lands a jab to Baray's midsection. Baray looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. As Baray looks to move away, De Lima throws a big counter combo but Baray just gets out of the way. A shot to the liver by De Lima. Beautiful body shot. Baray looks winded! De Lima throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. De Lima throws an overhand right that has Baray reeling! De Lima follows up with more punches and Baray is out cold! This one is all over!
