Dahman is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Brand New Guy. Jeremiah Dahman looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thomas Kerry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jeremiah Dahman!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kerry drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Dahman working a defensive guard here.
Kerry is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Kerry trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kerry keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dahman's head.
Kerry in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dahman looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Kerry wants to control from the top but Dahman keeps moving.
Dahman is looking to stand up but Kerry isn't so interested in that idea.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kerry passes the guard and advances to mount!

Dahman wants to control but Kerry is having none of it.
Kerry postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dahman looks a forlorn figure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kerry looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Dahman gets back to half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Kerry content to control rather than advance.
Dahman is not content to let Kerry control the position.
Dahman is trying to control but can't.
Dahman is trying to get back to full guard.
Kerry seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Dahman is staying active underneath Kerry, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Kerry frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Kerry lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kerry tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Dahman is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Dahman has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kerry can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kerry is in close to Dahman's body, working some short punches and elbows.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Kerry closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dahman to the mat! Dahman manages to get full guard.
Kerry prevents Dahman from getting back to his feet.
Dahman tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Dahman preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Dahman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kerry is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Thomas Kerry overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kerry slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Kerry closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dahman circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Kerry. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dahman gets caught flat footed, as Kerry shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Kerry postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dahman is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kerry, into his guard.

Kerry looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dahman is one step ahead there.

Dahman gets to his feet. Kerry looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Kerry darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Dahman works his way to full guard. Good work.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Thomas Kerry will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Kerry wants to stand up but Dahman is controlling him.

Dahman is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kerry can't fight it off and eventually Dahman manages to take the fight to the floor. Kerry looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Dahman drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kerry manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dahman has Kerry in his guard.

Kerry takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
