The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dan throws a sloppy head kick and Blackburn moves out of range easily.
Blackburn tries to counter with a takedown but Dan is quick to defend against it.
Dan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Blackburn changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Dan shoots in for a double leg but Blackburn sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Blackburn drops down looking for a counter takedown but Dan sprawls and moves away.
Dan throws a lazy body kick

and Blackburn decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Dan's guard.

Dan pushes Blackburn off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Blackburn and the ref steps in to end the fight! Blackburn can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
