As Mullen looks to move away, Horiguchi throws a big counter combo but Mullen just gets out of the way.
Mullen swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Horiguchi seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Quintin Mullen dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Mullen slaps away a takedown attempt from Horiguchi, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Horiguchi, as that shot connected.
Mullen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Horiguchi's head backwards.

Mullen punishes Horiguchi's body with a nice straight punch.
Mullen digs a good body shot into Horiguchi's ribs.
Mullen throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Horiguchi counters with a series of strikes. Mullen will be more careful next time no doubt.
Horiguchi walks into a stiff left hand from Mullen.
Mullen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Horiguchi gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mullen.

Horiguchi throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mullen's waist but Mullen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Horiguchi off to one side.

Mullen cracks a nice hook into Horiguchi's ribs.

The fighters circling - Mullen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mullen scores with a hook to the body. Horiguchi takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Mullen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Mullen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Horiguchi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Mullen is refusing to be controlled, as Horiguchi sits in half guard.
Horiguchi takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Mullen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Horiguchi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Horiguchi is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mullen has managed to free his arm - good work.
Horiguchi works his way into full mount!

Mullen is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Horiguchi locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Mullen is forced to tap!
