A momentary lapse in concentration from SIlva enables Outie to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. SIlva manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
SIlva is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
SIlva definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
SIlva has his foot on Outie's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Outie works his way back into a safe position though.
Outie seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Donk. Smith catches Carter right on the button with a cross.
Carter fails with the takedown
and Smith counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Carter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Carter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Carter is defended easily by Smith.
