Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Conner Chambers!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chambers gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Khan to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chambers looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Khan passes Chambers's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Khan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Khan decides to stand and escape the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Khan fails with a takedown attempt.

Chambers tries to clinch but Khan moves out of range.
Khan throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Chambers closes the distance and clinches.
Khan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Chambers's efforts to push away.

Khan throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Chambers.
Khan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chambers.

Chambers decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Khan works his way to full guard. Good work.

Chambers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Khan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Khan wants to control but Chambers is keeping him busy.
Still in half guard, Khan seems content to control.
Khan is looking to take a break and control but Chambers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Khan has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Chambers is working to get back to half guard.

Khan closes the distance and pushes Chambers back into the cage.

Khan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fighters circle, before Khan throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Chambers's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Khan lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Nate tries to close the distance and clinch up but Al Sabah swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Al Sabah appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Nate takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Al Sabah misses with a hook.
Nate takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Al Sabah connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Nate ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nate shoots in for a takedown but Al Sabah shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Al Sabah misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nate.
Nate looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Al Sabah is fending him off so far but Nate persists. Nope, Al Sabah circles away and we're back to standing.
Al Sabah swats away the attempt to clinch by Nate.

Jack throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cohen was covering up waiting for the punch and Jack finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Jack's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cohen controls Jack momentarily but Jack frees himself.

Cohen will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jack feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Cohen is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Jack.
Jack thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

Jack has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Cohen has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Jack is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Jack gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Jack gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Jack apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Cohen gets caught napping as Jack dives in and scores a takedown. Cohen manages to retain guard.
Cohen is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Jack dives into side control.

Cohen tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Jack presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Cohen wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Jack.

Cohen holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Jack tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Reed Jack showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The two fighters roll across the mat, with Cohen trying to push Jack off... Cohen taps! He's tapped! This one is all over! A throwback to the old Pancrase there with an infrequently seen submission hold! Nice work.
