The crowd seem to be enjoying Oystenteller's choice of entrance music: "You're Having My Baby" by Paul Anka. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Darstknasset Oystenteller was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Simonsgaurd rushes Meril and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Simonsgaurd is trying to pull guard but Meril has him pressed against the cage.

Simonsgaurd takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Meril comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Simonsgaurd is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Simonsgaurd is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Meril is aware though and is defending well.

Wetton feinted with a counter takedown.
Wetton ducks under a wild hook from Maine.
Wetton definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Wetton is trying hard to land a takedown here. Maine sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Wetton shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Maine but Maine pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Wetton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Maine has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Elite Island Training. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Maine is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wetton pulls his head out easily.

Wetton is pressing down on Maine's thigh, looking to free his foot. Maine is holding on for now.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ladd takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Fury working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ladd doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ladd manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Ladd controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Ladd drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Fury manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ladd has Fury in his guard.


Ladd isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Fury stacks Ladd on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Fury!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Fury's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Fury wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ladd keeps working.

Ladd is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Fury has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Ladd has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Fury taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Ladd doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Lemon has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Spades. Oh but Lemon has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Spades goes limp - he's gone! Lemon jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
