With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Darui Hanegawa!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newman on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Hanegawa. Newman shrugs it off though.

Newman clinches up with Hanegawa and pushes him back against the ropes.
Come on Newman - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Newman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A nice inside leg kick there by Hanegawa. That's going to slow Newman down.
Hanegawa lands a nice leg kick that just misses Newman's sensitive parts.
Hanegawa looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Newman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A slow jab from Hanegawa misses its intended target.
Hanegawa dodges the punch combination from Newman.
Hanegawa scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Hanegawa throws a leg kick which misses Newman's front leg but catches the back leg as Newman tries to avoid it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hanegawa catches Newman napping and connects with a fantastic 3 punch combination that sends Newman crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but he's all over the place - can he beat the count?!? 4,5,6,7,8...9...10! He didn't make it back to his feet! Hanegawa raises both arms skywards and takes in the roar from the crowd!

Fights wants to clinch up but Kaewdara keeps it at a distance.

Kaewdara feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Fights throws a push kick but Kaewdara slaps the foot to one side.

Kaewdara swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fights catches his opponent with a big hook that sends him to the canvas! Kaewdara stumbles back to his feet but will the referee allow it to continue? Kaewdara walks forwards and this one will be allowed to continue! Come on!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
