The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tartakov throws a low kick, looking for Miggleton's leg but Miggleton calmly moves out of range.
Miggleton thows a leg kick but Tartakov checks it
and Tartakov counters with a single leg into guard. Miggleton didn't expect that.
Tartakov connects with a couple of short punches.
Tartakov drops back looking for a leg! Miggleton is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Miggleton manages to kick Tartakov off! Tartakov jumps back into Miggleton's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Miggleton wants to stand and escape but Tartakov is having none of it.
Tartakov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miggleton swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Miggleton really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tartakov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tartakov cracks Miggleton with a big elbow.

Tartakov remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
