Kioper tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gigolo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kioper somewhat.

Gigolo wants to stand back up but Kioper manages to pass into side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gigolo can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kioper is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gigolo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Rigoberto Guzman had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 157.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Rigoberto Guzman could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Eric Jacquin's chin.

Guzman dives in for a single leg takedown but Jacquin sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Guzman is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Jacquin is defending well.
Jacquin wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Guzman manages to break the clinch.
Guzman is looking to clinch but Jacquin is avoiding it.
Guzman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jacquin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Eric Jacquin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jacquin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Guzman on his heels. He'll look to pass Guzman's guard now, I'm sure.
