The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Stern as Tyler shoots in.
Stern dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Tyler wants to clinch up but Stern keeps it at a distance.
Tyler doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Stern lands an overhand right.
Tyler throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stern's waist but Stern gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tyler off to one side.
Tyler chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Stern can pounce on him.
Tyler is breathing heavily.
Stern changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Stern, as that shot connected.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tyler tries to close the distance and clinch but Stern swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Stern lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tyler looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Tyler takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Stern thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Tyler if he has to take too many more of those.
A nice combination there by Stern.
Tyler on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Tyler is rocked!
Stern comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Oh Tyler is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stern is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Tyler tries to move into range but Stern moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Stern connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Tyler to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Stern!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kent feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Kent drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sawyer looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sawyer looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sawyer!
Sawyer wants to control but Kent is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kent is trying to improve his position.
Kent is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Sawyer throws a strike aimed at the side of Kent's head but Kent avoids it well.
Kent tries to buck Sawyer off but Sawyer is having none of it.
Sawyer creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kent sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Sawyer tries to stand and escape but Kent is controlling the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Sawyer counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sawyer.

Kent throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Sawyer escapes and throws Kent's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sawyer changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kent looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kent has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kent wants to improve his position but Sawyer is controlling well.

Payakaroon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hickson's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Hickson duly obliges.

It looks like Samart Payakaroon has been cut.
Payakaroon moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Payakaroon throws a combination that misses
and Hickson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Payakaroon is lucky that one didn't land flush.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Payakaroon tries to clinch but Hickson moves away
and Hickson counters with a left and a right that stings Payakaroon.

Payakaroon is rocked!
Hickson dances in with a quick combination. Payakaroon is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Hickson snaps Payakaroon's head back. Payakaroon stumbles backwards against the cage. Hickson steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Payakaroon's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Payakaroon just didn't come prepared.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mcgee has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mcgee and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Rguy closes the distance and lands a one-two.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Burger has momentary wrist control but Dean slips an elbow through the middle.
Burger might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Dean's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Dean chips away with some ground and pound.
Dean wants to control from the top but Burger keeps moving.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Dean slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
