Romanow has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Romanow there as he acknowledges the shot.
It looks like Marcel Romanow has been cut.
Potthast looks to land a combination but Romanow avoids it well.
Potthast throws a predictable looking body shot
and Romanow cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Oooooh!!! Potthast has knocked Romanow down with a huge combo! Potthast steps away and waves a wobbly Romanow back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Charlie Potthast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Potthast Throws a clean left jab. Potthast Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Romanow's chin! Romanow crumbles to the ground and Potthast follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Potthast!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Takumi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
