The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turn moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mattos. Turn does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mattos keeps the fight on the outside.

We've been hearing reports that Turn has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Mattos felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mattos can do anything to dispel that myth.

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sheldy Foote (ranked 3818 p4p, 2833 weight class) and Johnny Saigon (ranked 456 p4p, 356 weight class). Saigon comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Run through the jungle kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
