The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucaz fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Lucaz tries to clinch there but Winnar circles away.
Winnar misses with a looping left.
Winnar lands a nice shot to the body.
Winnar looks to score with a jab to the body but Lucaz is just out of range.
Lucaz wants to clinch up but Winnar keeps it at a distance.
Winnar throws out a counter right but Lucaz avoids it with no problem.
Lucaz tries to close the distance and clinch but Winnar swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Winnar keeps the fight on the outside.

Winnar closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lucaz is trying to maintain a safe position but Winnar gets an underhook and turns Lucaz into the cage.
Lucaz can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.
Winnar lands a right hand that snaps the head of Lucaz backwards.

Winnar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Winnar closes the distance and clinches.

A left hand lands to the body for Winnar.

Winnar breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lucaz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Winnar pinned against the cage. Winnar gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Winnar closes the distance and pushes Lucaz back into the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Winnar creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

A nice right hand lands inside from Winnar.

Winnar works on Lucaz's body with a couple of short punches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Winnar throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Lucazs head.
Oh Lucaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Winnar dips a shoulder and cracks Lucaz with a mighty uppercut! Lucaz falls back against the cage and Winnar unloads with a barrage of strikes! Lucaz is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Winnar screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Frank misses the shot to the body.
Roy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Frank misses with a looping left.
Frank closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Roy! Frank dives in looking to finish! Roy is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

A relieved looking Voracic Frank thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

It looks like Draylen Johnson has been cut.
Jackal scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Jackal creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Johnson! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Jackal.

Montgomery swings for the body but Nein moves out of range.
Nein avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nein takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Nein misses with a body shot.
Nein lands with a cross.
Nein missing with a left hand there. Montgomery was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Montgomery throws an overhand right that lands on Nein's shoulder, as Nein tries to avoid the shot.
Nein doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Nein is breathing heavily.
Montgomery throws a jab but it's blocked by Nein.
Donk. Nein catches Montgomery right on the button with a cross.
Nein takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Montgomery steps into range and cracks Nein with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Nein flops backwards and Montgomery dives into his guard looking to finish!
It looks like Horace Nein has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Montgomery is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Montgomery passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Montgomery is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Nein looks calm but he's in trouble here. Montgomery gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Nein is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Montgomery lets go of the hold and Nein can pop his arm back in it's socket.
