The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moore tries to sprawl but Surinafi drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Moore escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Surinafi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Moore has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Surinafi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Moore really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Moore pulls Surinafi in close to his closed guard and prevents Surinafi from doing any damage or advancing position.

Moore throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Surinafi is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Moore presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Moore seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Surinafi has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Moore to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Surinafi is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Moore pulls down on the head and he's put Surinafi to sleep! This one is all over!

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ashton Currie (ranked 3260 p4p, 4444 weight class) and Zneer Neer (ranked 435 p4p, 557 weight class). Neer is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Back In Black. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Zneer Neer was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Neer fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Currie sprawls well initially but Neer persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Neer is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Currie is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Zneer Neer!
Zneer Neer is the new middleweight champion!
Zneer Neer spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
