The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Reid checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Johnson's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Johnson duly obliges.
Reid darts in looking for a takedown but Johnson gets double underhooks and turns Reid into the cage.
Johnson misses with a few strikes there.
Reid is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Johnson misses with a two punch combination.

Johnson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Johnson showed some decent athleticism there.
Johnson not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Reid wants to control but Johnson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Johnson is just content to waste time from the top position. Reid takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Johnson wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Reid's closed guard. He's half up but Reid has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Reid pivots and extends the arm, Johnson falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Reid! Well done that man!

Borgus throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Borgus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ferras but Ferras pushes him off and we're back to square one.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Borris Borgus.

Carl Andersson is the new featherweight champion!
After the fight, Carl Andersson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Barry Bulstruskovich spoke after the fight, saying 'fuck'.
