Well Chimaev has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fred Ottoman!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ottoman swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Ottoman waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Allu.
Ottoman takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Allu lands a really nice looking cross but Ottoman seems unphased.

Allu fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ottoman on the side of the head.
Allu definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Allu connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ottoman. Ottoman circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Ottoman throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Allu on the side of the head.
It looks like Mike Allu has been cut.

Allu moves into the clinch successfully.
Allu lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ottoman backwards.

Ottoman wants to break the clinch but can't.
Allu scores with a shoulder strike.
Allu has Ottoman pressed against the cage, preventing Ottoman from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Crunch! Ottoman slams his shin into Allu's torso.

Allu drops Ottoman with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Ottoman looks back up at him and smiles so Allu waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Ottoman is rocked!

Ottoman lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Allu cracks Ottoman with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Ottoman tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Allu pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Ottoman is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Allu!

In defeat, Fred Ottoman stepped up to the mic, saying 'The truth is out there.'.
