The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sauce avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Tessp changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sauce tries to avoid it but Tessp manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sauce to the ground. Sauce escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
It looked like Sauce was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Sauce keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Tessp.
Tessp shoots in looking for a takedown but Sauce manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tessp's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Sauce gets the takedown into side control.
Tessp is trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tessp wants to control but Sauce postures up.
Tessp tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tessp tries to buck Sauce off but Sauce is having none of it.

You can see the frustration on Tessp's face as Sauce controls the position.
Sauce tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Tessp controlling the position well.
Sauce with the ground and pound but Tessp uses the opportunity to regain guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tessp can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sauce trying to control the position from guard on top but Tessp is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sauce trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Tessp is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sauce defends well.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Tessp not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Sauce wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Sauce gets caught napping as Tessp dives in and scores a takedown. Sauce manages to retain guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Crumb throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Red is trying to counter with his kicks.
Red goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Red should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Crumb rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Red moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Red gets the takedown into side control.
Red moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Crumb tries to improve position but can't.
Red misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Crumb manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Red is staying active underneath Crumb, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Red is trying to control but can't.

Crumb wants to work for an arm triangle but Red is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
One throws a leg kick that misses.
Two tries a quick counter leg kick but One is wise to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Two is looking to score with low kicks.
One looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
One takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Two will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Two on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Ostrowski fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Mallory.

Mallory really is a fat lump.
