Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steven Duong (ranked 2179 p4p, 3181 weight class) and Marvin Vettori (ranked 294 p4p, 410 weight class). Duong comes to the cage accompanied by Tyron Woodley . I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Marvin Vettori was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vettori blocks a jab.
A slow jab from Duong misses its intended target.
Duong throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Vettori on the side of the head.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Timoty Meyer.

Yoder uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Downs.

Yoder uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Downs.
Downs throws a hook to the side of Yoder's head but Yoder sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Downs looks to land a left hand but Yoder moved out of range nicely.
Downs moves forwards but Yoder connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Downs throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Yoder shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Downs misses with a hook. Yoder ducked under it nicely.
We've been hearing reports that Yoder has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Downs cracks Yoder with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Yoder falls to his knees and Downs doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Figueiredo is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Figueiredo is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Woods couldn't care less - he's delighted!

A big left from With misses.
With feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Tarrent sprawling to the canvas! Tarrent rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can With finish him?!
 It looks like Matt Tarrent has been cut.
Tarrent walks straight into a right hand from With - that's dropped him! With jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Tarrent from any more punishment! Tarrent complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Matt Tarrent spoke after the fight, saying 'My opponent was the better man tonight, respect to Him, i'm going to learn from this'.
