2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alceu Barbosa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joe Tidd! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Barbosa as Tidd shoots in. Tidd keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Tidd's coach down at Island Sparring was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Tidd's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Barbosa throws a jab when Tidd was well out of range. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tidd is defended easily by Barbosa. Barbosa misses the shot to the body. Barbosa definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Tidd shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Barbosa counter with a right hand. Alceu Barbosa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Tidd. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Barbosa swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tidd has a takedown stuffed. Barbosa stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Barbosa wants it to stay on the feet.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Barbosa misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tidd.
Tidd darts in looking for a takedown but Barbosa gets double underhooks and turns Tidd into the cage. An attempted straight right counter from Barbosa misses the target. Joe Tidd seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tidd shoots and misses enabling Barbosa to counter with a crisp jab. Barbosa connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tidd momentarily.
Tidd fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Tidd throws a leg kick but Barbosa moved away. Tidd looks for a takedown but Barbosa sprawls well. It looked like Barbosa was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Tidd. Tidd misses with a takedown enabling Barbosa to counter with a crisp jab. Barbosa connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Tidd's hands.
 Tidd is rocked!
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Barbosa cracks Tidd with a hook to the temple - Tidd is on wobbly legs here! Barbosa swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Tidd falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Barbosa wins by TKO!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hughs ducks under a wild hook from Repine. Repine lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Hughs gets the takedown into side control.
Hughs looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Hughs looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Repine tries to improve position but can't. Repine is working hard here to advance position. Hughs trying to control the action but Repine is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. You can see the frustration on Repine's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
 That's one minute gone in the round.
Hughs tries for a kimura but Repine is defending well. Hughs tries to move to mount but Repine blocks the move with his legs. Repine is letting Hughs control him for a moment. Repine knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hughs on the ground.
Hughs goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Repine rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hughs's guard! Nice work there by Repine! Hughs seems keen to control Repine's posture. Repine looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Hughs looking to hit a scissor sweep but Repine is one step ahead there.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Hughs is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Repine trying to move into half guard but instead Hughs has managed to sweep!
Hughs trying to control the position from guard on top but Repine is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hughs might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Repine haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Hughs works a leg free and moves into half guard. Repine manages to get to full guard.
Hughs tries to free his leg and advance position but Repine is retaining full guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Repine working a defensive guard but Hughs passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hughs is controlling the pace.
Hughs seems to be looking for submissions.
Hughs tries to pass to full mount but Repine defends it. Hughs keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Hughs is looking to advance position but Repine won't allow it. Hughs wants to control but Repine is keeping him busy. Repine is trying to stand back up but Hughs is controlling him

Richard Hughs dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hughs closes this distance looking for a takedown but Repine circles away. Repine cracks Hughs with an open hand slap. Hughs misses with a lunging right hand
and Repine makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Repine fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Repine lands a jab to the head.
Hughs throws a body punch but Repine moves out of range. Hughs fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hughs fails to land the takedown. Chad Repine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Hughs. Hughs misses with a takedown and Repine counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Repine fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hughs on the side of the head. Repine takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. This has been an exciting period of action! Repine connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hughs. Hughs circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Repine defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hughs. Repine lands a nice looking body shot.
Repine scores with a sloppy right hand. Hughs should have avoided that one.
 Hughs is rocked! Repine throws a pinpoint strike between Hughs's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Hughs crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Repine scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chad Repine! After winning the bout, Chad Repine thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lavigne looks to throw the jab but Denisov is out of range. Denisov wants to clinch but Lavigne slips to the side and Lavigne counters with a stiff right hand. Lavigne ducks under a wild hook from Denisov. Lavigne connects with a good right hand that stumbles Denisov. Denisov circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Denisov takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Lavigne lands with a good body shot. Lavigne ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Denisov moves away. Denisov with a poor takedown and Lavigne cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Lavigne is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Denisov. Gervais Lavigne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lavigne takes a swing at Denisov's ribcage but misses. Denisov lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Lavigne lands with a hook. Denisov tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lavigne throws a looping overhand right but Denisov ducks down to avoid it. Denisov half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Denisov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lavigne's waist but Lavigne gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Denisov off to one side. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Lavigne! But no joy. Denisov tries to clinch but Lavigne moves out of range. Denisov shoots in but Lavigne avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denis Denisov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Denisov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Denisov throws a hook but Lavigne blocks it. Lavigne throws out a counter right but Denisov avoids it with no problem. Denisov goes for a double leg but Lavigne avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lavigne continues to drive forward. Lavigne lands a jab to the nose. Denisov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lavigne but Lavigne pushes him off and we're back to square one. Lavigne scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Denisov doesn't seem bothered though. Lavigne takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Denisov tries for a takedown but Lavigne sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Denisov takes a shot right to the bread basket. Lavigne connects with the punch. Lavigne has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far. Lavigne scores with a hook to the body. Denisov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Lavigne ducks down and throws a hook to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A jab from Lavigne finds it's way through Denisov's defenses.

Lavigne throws a body shot but no joy. Denisov fails in his attempt to clinch. Lavigne misses with a wild body shot. Denisov misses with an uppercut. Lavigne misses the shot to the body. Denisov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Denisov is looking to clinch but Lavigne is avoiding it.

The crowd cheers as Lavigne lands an impressive looking overhand right. Denisov doesn't seem phased though. Denisov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lavigne.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. A punch lands to the side of Denisov 's head but he takes it in his stride. Lavigne jabs Denisov to the body, keeping him at a distance. Lavigne misses with a looping right. Denisov quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Denisov shoots in for a double leg but Lavigne sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Denisov shoots for a double leg takedown but Lavigne sprawls well. He's pushed Denisov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Denisov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lavigne sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Denisov tries for a takedown but Lavigne sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Gervais Lavigne is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Lavigne forces Denisov back against the cage and clinches. Lavigne lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Denisov. Lavigne comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Denisov takes an elbow to the forehead. Lavigne lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Denisov backwards. Lavigne scores with a shoulder strike. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Denisov is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lavigne pulls him back up using the underhooks. A body shot lands from Lavigne.
Denisov is breathing heavily. Denisov has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lavigne after a bit of a struggle.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Lavigne gets through Denisov's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Denisov takes an elbow to the temple. Lavigne lands an elbow just above Denisov 's eye. Lavigne scores with an uppercut up the middle. Lavigne lands with a short shot to the head. Denisov takes an elbow to the forehead. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Lavigne creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
 Denisov is rocked! Denisov has Lavigne pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lavigne manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. A nice left hand lands by Lavigne.
Oh Denisov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Denisov wants a takedown.
Denisov seems to have got his legs back now. Still in the clinch, Lavigne scores with a nice short uppercut. Denisov jumps guard but Lavigne turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Lavigne gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
 It looks like Denis Denisov has been cut. Lavigne lands an elbow that stopped Denisov in his tracks for a moment. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lavigne lands a left hand.
Lavigne lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Lavigne digs a right hand underneath Denisov's ribcage. Denisov let out a lung full of air as it connected. Lavigne scores with a shoulder strike. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gervais Lavigne dominated that round. The cut man is working on Denis Denisov's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Denisov fails to land the takedown. Nice body punch from Lavigne. Denisov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lavigne as he avoids it easily. Denisov takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Denisov walks into a straight right hand from Lavigne. and Lavigne counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Denisov! He's just covering up as Lavigne starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Faber is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gueguen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Gueguen tries to counter with a takedown but Faber is quick to defend against it. Faber tries to clinch but Gueguen moves away and Gueguen counters with a nice body shot. Faber wants to clinch but Gueguen slips to the side
and Gueguen counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gueguen. Faber is looking to stand back up but Gueguen counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Faber.
Gueguen prevents Faber from improving his position. Faber is in trouble now - Gueguen has advanced to mount! Gueguen mounts Faber! Really nice guard pass there! Gueguen content just to control the position here.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Gueguen fails to move to back control. Gueguen controlling his opponent.
Gueguen working for a guillotine from mount but Faber is in no mood to give up.
Gueguen is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Faber to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Faber shrugs it off.
Gueguen is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Faber is surviving well by controlling Gueguen's body position as best he can.
 That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gueguen is working for a guillotine from mount but Faber frees his head quite easily.
Faber has given up his back.
Gueguen is working for a rear naked choke. Faber is not defending it well and Gueguen has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Faber refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Faber's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryokale slips under a jab. As Larousse tries to get set, Ryokale tries to push him back and clinch up but Larousse manages to avoid the attempt.
Ryokale moves into the clinch. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Larousse has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Ryokale blocks an uppercut.

Larousse has Ryokale pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Larousse pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Ryokale tumbling to the mat - Larousse dives into Ryokale's guard. Ryokale not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ryokale looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Larousse puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Larousse trying to mount his opponent but Ryokale defends it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gagnon bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Suares has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gagnon. Gagnon bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Suares loads up on a big right hand but Gagnon slips the punch. Suares thows a left - swing and a miss! Suares takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. A shot to the body from Suares misses and Gagnon counters with a right hand to the body. Gagnon takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Gagnon uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Suares. Suares throws a looping overhand right but Gagnon ducks down to avoid it. Suares looks more muscular than last time we saw him. Soup closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Banchamek's guard. Soup is standing up over Banchamek. Banchamek looks to escape but Soup dives into side control.
Banchamek bucks up and tries to throw Soup off but instead Soup has got his back! Soup has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
