The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramzanov punishes Guy's body with a nice straight punch.
Ramzanov jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Guy rushes Ramzanov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Guy lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Ramzanov backwards.
Guy lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Ramzanov misses with the head strike.
Guy scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Guy lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Guy lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ramzanov backwards.

Guy moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Ramzanov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Ramzanov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Guy has time to react.
Good standup being displayed there by Ramzanov as he connects with a hook.
Guy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Ramzanov misses with a hook. Guy ducked under it nicely.

Guy clinches up against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Ramzanov fails to land.
Ramzanov tries to pull guard but Guy won't allow it.
Tourney Guy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mamed Ramzanov.
Guy lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Ramzanov tries to pull guard but Guy holds him up against the cage and eventually Ramzanov drops back down to his feet.
Ramzanov tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Guy's elbow.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Guy lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Guy creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Ramzanov with a big uppercut! Ramzanov tries to clinch up but Guy pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Ramzanov to the mat! Ramzanov covers up and Guy unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Nakamura throws a hook but Carpenter avoids it easily.
Nakamura ducks under a wild hook from Carpenter.
Carpenter throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Nakamura sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nakamura throws a chopping leg kick but Carpenter manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Carpenter misses with a hook. Nakamura ducked under it nicely.
Carpenter cracks Nakamura with an open hand slap.
Nakamura slips a straight right by Carpenter.

Nakamura shoots in and bounces Carpenter off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Carpenter is wriggling around but Nakamura manages to pass to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nakamura is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Carpenter has managed to free his arm - good work.

Nakamura seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Nakamura has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Carpenter defend it? Nakamura steps over the head and cranks it - Carpenter is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Nakamura!
