And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 54 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elijah Pitakaka!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Romo blocks a low kick nicely.
Romo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Pitakaka's hands.

It looks like Elijah Pitakaka has been cut.
Romo avoids a kick to the body.
Romo seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Pitakaka pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pitakaka takes a jab right on the kisser.
Pitakaka looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Romo gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Romo throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Pitakaka blocks it with crossed arms.
Romo lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Pitakaka or not.

Pitakaka pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pitakaka throws a head kick but Romo moves out of range.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pitakaka wants to get back to striking at distance but Romo won't allow it.
Pitakaka has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Pitakaka is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Romo is keeping busy.

With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Romo creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Naresuan takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Naresuan weaves into range and cracks Johnson right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Johnson goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Naresuan is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

Halo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mir manages to avoid it.

Mir throws out a loose jab but Halo uses good head movement to avoid it.

That was a close round but I would say that Melchizedek Halo will probably get the nod.
That's time! Halo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Halo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mir stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Halo is rocked!

Mir cracks Halo with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Halo is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Halo is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Halo could not beat the count!

In his post fight interview, Yoel Mir started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
The defeated Melchizedek Halo had this to say: 'The game plan was wrong. We will re-watch the tape and figure out where we went wrong. '.
