The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Loco manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ball on his heels. He'll look to pass Ball's guard now, I'm sure.

Ball has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Loco has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Loco has clasped his hands together around Ball's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Ball sneaks out the side door and pushes Loco away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ball shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Ball thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Well Ambe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshioka stuffs the takedown.

My spies in Island Sparring inform me that Tidd has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Tidd is nestled in close to Yoshioka, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Tidd got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yoshioka has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tidd has managed to get both his arms back between Yoshioka's legs - danger averted.

Yoshioka has his foot on Tidd's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tidd works his way back into a safe position though.

Tidd stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Yoshioka throws up his legs and catches Tidd in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Tidd tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Yoshioka! That came out of nowhere!
