The Thrill lands a left hand that snaps the head of Dash backwards.

Dash tries to stall but The Thrill uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
The Thrill digs a right hand into Dash's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Dash's gas tank.

Smith darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Kurtev is pressing down on Smith's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Smith wants to control from the top but Kurtev keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Smith has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Kurtev trying to keep a closed guard but Smith is proving a slippery customer.
Kurtev trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Kurtev tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kurtev scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith won't allow Kurtev to sweep him here.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Kurtev wants to sweep here but Smith controlling him for the moment.
Smith pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kurtev is keeping the position for now.
Kurtev bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Smith's guard.

Kurtev slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Smith tries to improve position but can't.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Kurtev connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Smith some visible discomfort.

Kurtev scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Smith is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Kurtev can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

No joy there for Burns, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Shaw looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Burns digs a good body shot into Shaw's ribs.
Burns chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Shaw takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Shaw on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Oooooh!!! Burns has knocked Shaw down with a huge combo! Burns steps away and waves a wobbly Shaw back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Kasey Shaw has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Burns knocks Shaw out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Spasov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Riley is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Spasov avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Spasov is looking to cinch up a triangle. Riley throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Spasov's body to avoid the submission. Spasov has instead reached around Riley's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Spasov arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Castilo feints the counter takedown.
Fighter D shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Castilo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fighter D's waist but Fighter D gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Castilo off to one side.
Test Fighter D has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dean Castilo.
