Shankar comes into a darkened arena with his song building. "Them Belly Full" by Bob Marley kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Shankar feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
You can see the frustration on Speedman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Gracie lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Helio Gracie seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Diaz uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gracie has time to react.

Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Diaz is aware though and is defending well.

Gracie is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell?

Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Diaz gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Diaz is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Diaz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Diaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Diaz controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Gracie controls Diaz momentarily but Diaz frees himself.

Gracie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Diaz defends well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gracie keeping moving, preventing Diaz from controlling successfully.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Diaz tries to clinch but Gracie moves away
and Gracie counters with a straight right hand.
Diaz shoots in looking for a takedown. Gracie tries to sprawl out of it but Diaz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gracie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch but Gracie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Helio Gracie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Gracie has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
