Gibbs is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: LJ Gibbs. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawks fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chese avoids it really well and circles away.

Hawks throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Chese was covering up waiting for the punch and Hawks finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Chese wants to stand and escape but Hawks is having none of it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zero closes the distance and clinches up with Brooks, looking for a takedown. Zero pushes Brooks against the cage but Brooks circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Zero gets a takedown into half guard.

Zero is trying to work for a kimura but Brooks is defending well.

Zero is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Zero wants to free his trapped foot but Brooks is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Zero passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Brooks!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Brooks is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Zero is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Brooks has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Brooks!

Zero escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Brooks gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Zero working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brooks doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brooks manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Brooks wants to get up but he can't break Zero's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Brooks must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Zero is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zero manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brooks manages to get himself to full guard.

Brooks wants to stand and escape but Zero is having none of it.

Zero is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Brooks is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Brooks has escaped and now he's on top!

Zero is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Brooks has his hands clasped together but Zero extends an breaks Brooks's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Zero.

Mitichyan avoids the body shot from griffin.
Mitichyan throws a low kick but it's checked well by griffin.
griffin throws a jab but it's blocked by Mitichyan.
griffin misses with a wild body shot.
Mitichyan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
peter griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
griffin lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mitichyan backs up against the cage.
Mitichyan swinging wildly here.
griffin connects with a nice cross there... Mitichyan is looking wobbly and griffin recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Mitichyan to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - griffin jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
