Undercard bout

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Silva (ranked 7635 p4p, 626 weight class) and Guille Oost (ranked 8409 p4p, 653 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Anderson Silva has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Anderson Silva seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Davido Corcu!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corcu tries to close the distance and clinch but Collins swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Collins shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Corcu as he avoids it easily.
Michael Collins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown attempt by Collins or perhaps it was just good defense by Corcu, which made it look bad.
No luck for Collins with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Collins. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Corcu takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Collins swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Corcu dodges the punch combination from Collins.

Collins throws a right and a left that Corcu avoids nicely.
And Corcu responds with a good body kick, but Collins manages to step out the way in time.
The fight stays on the outside here - Corcu looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Corcu tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Collins paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Corcu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Corcu looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Collins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Corcu shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Collins pinned against the cage. Collins gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Corcu slips a jab and a cross from Collins.
Corcu is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Corcu takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Corcu tries to clinch up.
Collins is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Corcu.
Collins lands a jab-cross combination.
Corcu wants to clinch up but Collins keeps it at a distance.
Corcu shoots for a double leg takedown but Collins sprawls well. He's pushed Corcu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Corcu drops his hands momentarily and Collins takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Collins tries to bum rush Corcu with a series of wild strikes but Corcu uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Corcu shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Collins drops down looking for a counter takedown but Corcu sprawls and moves away.
Corcu looks winded!

Collins clinches.
Collins definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Collins prevents the takedown attempt.
Corcu jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Collins walks away with a smile on his face. Corcu gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Collins lands a left and a right that send Corcu crashing to the mat, dazed. Collins thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Corcu is rocked!

Collins clinches up with Corcu and pushes him back against the cage.
Corcu is still on wobbly legs! Can Collins finish him?

Collins breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Collins throws a series of punches but Corcu moves out of range.
Corcu throws a counter combo.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Corcu loses concentration momentarily and Collins pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Corcu crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Collins finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
