The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisk scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Hawk closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fisk to the mat! Fisk manages to get full guard.
Fisk wants to stand and escape but Hawk is having none of it.
Hawk is pushing down on Fisk's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fisk is fighting to maintain full guard but Hawk has managed to sneak the leg through.
Hawk could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hawk lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Fisk is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hawk scores with a couple of nice shots.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hawk in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Fisk tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Hawk!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monahan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ahjd sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Monahan somewhat.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Ahjd has eaten all the pies!

Monahan shoots in and bounces Ahjd off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Ahjd pulls Monahan in close to prevent any damage.

Monahan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Ahjd dives on top into guard.


Monahan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ahjd defends well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ahjd got a little sloppy there for a moment and Monahan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ahjd has managed to get both his arms back between Monahan's legs - danger averted.
