James ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. James no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

As Battle backs off Bates throws a huge counter combo but Battle manages to avoid it all.
Bates defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Battle.

Battle has managed to clinch.
Bates's coach down at Vinny’s Gym *PFC sponsored gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Bates's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Bates manages to break the clinch.
Battle seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Bates shoots in for a takedown but Battle shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Battle is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Bates has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Battle has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Bates taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Battle doesn't care though - he's delighted!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald lands a jab to the head.
McDonald lands a nice looking body shot.
McDonald connects with a body shot that sends Jung's belly button to the back.
McDonald leaves Jung with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
McDonald lands a right hook to the body.
Jung could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jung is breathing heavily.

McDonald cracks Jung with a big right hand and Jung goes down!

It looks like Seunkyo Jung has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McDonald stands up over Jung, holding on to his feet. McDonald throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Jung is out cold! McDonald lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!

In his post fight interview, Jim Bob McDonald started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
