Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rayder Garner (ranked 560 p4p, 70 weight class) and Draszen Ibisevicz (ranked 2343 p4p, 278 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Draszen Ibisevicz!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ibisevicz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Garner to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ibisevicz is trying to keep Garner in close.

Garner thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ibisevicz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Garner slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Garner missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ibisevicz can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ibisevicz can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Garner controls the pace.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Garner not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Garner seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ibisevicz for as long as he can get away with.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Garner changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ibisevicz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ibisevicz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Garner is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Garner hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
