The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomez slaps away a takedown attempt from Tove, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A nice side step and Gomez releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Tove misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gomez.
Gomez thinks about the counter body kick.
Tove shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gomez sprawls well. Gomez wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tove gets slowly back to his feet.
Tove goes for a double leg but Gomez avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gomez continues to drive forward.

Norton lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Agapov fails with the takedown.
Agapov looks to land a combination but Desimpedidos avoids it well.
Desimpedidos connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Agapov wants to clinch but Desimpedidos slips to the side
and Desimpedidos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Agapov shoots in looking for a takedown but Desimpedidos manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Agapov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Desimpedidos feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Agapov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Desimpedidos controls the pace.

In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

MacBain throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jagannath's waist but Jagannath gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing MacBain off to one side.
Jagannath shoots in looking for a takedown but MacBain manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Jagannath's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
MacBain lands a nice looking kick to the body. Jagannath takes a step back to recover.
MacBain dives in for a single leg takedown but Jagannath sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Jagannath shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jagannath was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
