The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Caruso got a little sloppy there for a moment and William has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Caruso has managed to get both his arms back between William's legs - danger averted.

William has his foot on Caruso's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Caruso works his way back into a safe position though.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Builder wants to clinch.

Builder decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Builder wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mattingly keeps working.
Mattingly is looking to improve his position.
Mattingly slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Mattingly looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Builder has picked Mattingly up and slammed him! Mattingly can't keep hold of the triangle and Builder manages to pass to side control!
Mattingly manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Mattingly is fighting to break Builder's control of his arms but Builder is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Mattingly wants to stand but Builder is controlling his posture from full guard.
Builder has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Mattingly trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Builder is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Mattingly is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Builder is pressing down on Mattingly's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mattingly is holding on for now.
Mattingly makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mattingly.

Mattingly is looking to sinch up a triangle. Builder throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Mattingly's body to avoid the submission. Mattingly has instead reached around Builder's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Mattingly arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Marciano leaves Jones with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Jones throws a body punch but Marciano moves out of range.
No luck for Jones with that takedown attempt.
Marciano digs a good body shot into Jones's ribs.
Marciano uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jones.
Jones avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jones misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Marciano.
Marciano connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Marciano lands a left and a right that send Jones crashing to the mat, dazed. Marciano thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Conquerer Jones has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jones loses concentration momentarily and Marciano pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Jones crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Marciano finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
