The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gravano will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Gorlero let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Gravano throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Gorlero forces Gravano back against the cage and clinches.

Gravano pulls guard effortlessly.
Gravano keeping moving, preventing Gorlero from controlling successfully.
Gorlero is pushing down on Gravano's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gravano is fighting to maintain full guard but Gorlero has managed to sneak the leg through.
Gorlero frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gorlero jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Gravano manages to avoid the submission attempt.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Gorlero is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gravano is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Gorlero is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gravano knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Gorlero throws an elbow but Gravano slips to the side and avoids it well.

Gorlero is working to tighten his grip on Gravano's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Gravano has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Gorlero is really squeezing tight and eventually Gravano passes out! Gorlero breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Diaz lands a hook that snaps the head of Sotin backwards.

Diaz presses Sotin against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Diaz misses with some punches.
Diaz has a couple of punches blocked by Sotin.

Diaz creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Sotin's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Sotin drops to his knees and Diaz pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
