The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marlov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Marlov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Horrible takedown by Mendez or perhaps it was just good defense by Marlov which made him look bad.
Marlov throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Marlov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Marlov thows a body shot but no joy.

Mendez closes the distance and clinches.
Mendez jumps guard but Marlov stands there with Mendez around his waist. Mendez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Mendez wants a takedown but no success here.

Mendez tries to close the distance and clinch but Marlov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
