The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanna throws a leg kick

and McDonald decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sanna's guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sanna enables McDonald to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sanna manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Dann is nestled in close to Ahikaroa, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Como lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Gleeson has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gleeson and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
