Wrench comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Crazy Train kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wrench takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Wrench fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but The Cartel avoids it really well and circles away.

The Cartel lands a left and a right that send Wrench crashing to the mat, dazed. The Cartel thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Engilsh Wrench has been cut.
The Cartel pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Wrench shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. The Cartel is trying to defend but Wrench finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wrench prevents The Cartel from standing back up.

Wrench is sneakily working for an arm triangle but The Cartel sees it coming and defends easily.
The Cartel's coaches at ~T~ Troid - Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
The Cartel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wrench on the ground.

The Cartel is defending against the submission attempts here by Wrench.
The Cartel is trying to stand up here but Wrench is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The Cartel manages to escape and get back to his feet!
The Cartel lands a jab to the nose.

Wrench tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but The Cartel swivels and escapes.
Wrench is still on wobbly legs! Can The Cartel finish him?
The Cartel lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lea tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Smith seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Smith leaves Lea with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Smith lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Smith gets a takedown into half guard.
Lea wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Smith thows a huge punch but Lea dodges it nicely.

Lea tries to kick Smith off but Smith keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Lea is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Lea keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Smith sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Lea defending well though.
Smith is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Smith takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Lea wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Lea told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Lea is in a horrible position here. Smith smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Smith is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lea can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Smith is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Lea is surviving well by controlling Smith's body position as best he can.
Lea is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Smith landing strikes, looking to finish!

Smith wants to finish this one by submission but Lea is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Smith.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Smith swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
