And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Mariusz Boruch!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Anni Minnemäki.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Knox shoots in but Boruch avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Knox shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Boruch defends it nicely.
Boruch wants to clinch up but Knox keeps it at a distance.
Knox shoots in looking for a takedown but Boruch manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Knox's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Boruch tries to counter with a clinch but Knox shakes him off and moves away.

Knox passes Boruch's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Knox will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Knox is looking for a kimura but Boruch is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Knox to get the leverage.

Knox in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Boruch tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Knox!

I can't wait to find out!

The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Galvao fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kneecap to the ground. Galvao is now in Kneecap's guard.

Galvao trying to control the position from guard on top but Kneecap is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Galvao won't allow Kneecap to sweep him here.
Kneecap is trying to control the position but Galvao postures up.
Galvao controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Kneecap is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kneecap pushes a forearm under Galvao's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Galvao is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Smarks had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. McAdams defends it easily.

McAdams thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McAdams drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McAdams jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Smarks working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McAdams doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McAdams manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Smarks is looking for a triangle but McAdams pushes his legs off easily.

Smarks looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
McAdams forces his way into half guard.
Smarks tries to get to full guard but McAdams has control of the leg.

McAdams seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Smarks is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Kerinen's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Jason is holding on here and Kerinen must be using up a lot of energy. Jason has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Kerinen gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
