Kozlov shoots in looking for a takedown. Vrinceanu tries to sprawl out of it but Kozlov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vrinceanu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kozlov throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kozlov's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kozlov's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Kozlov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Vrinceanu defends well and Kozlov ends up having to push Vrinceanu into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Vrinceanu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A low kick from Kozlov is predictable there
and Vrinceanu counters with a thumping low kick.
Horrible takedown attempt by Kozlov or perhaps it was just good defense by Vrinceanu, which made it look bad.
Bogdan Vrinceanu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yevgeni Kozlov.

and Vrinceanu counters with a monster head kick that knocks Kozlov out cold! He topples like fallen a tree, crashing to the mat! Timbeeeeeerrr!
